Young Samurai doll, 1960's
Very nice Japanese
antique doll of a samurai boy dressed with
rich silk brocaded hunting
attire. And he holds a tachi sword in his raised hand. Japanese
artist named this his work as IWAI DACHI ( means
A FIRST SWORD). Doll's long black hair is combed
in Heian era style: partly tied up in a bundle
on a head top and partly fell down on his shoulders.
The doll stands on wooden stand which covered with silk cloth
and an artist's name and the doll's theme are
writing on a wooden plaque
Doll dimensions: 25 cm /9,8 inches high
Condition: The doll is excellent condition according to
age with no damage.
