Japanese bride doll in wedding costume, early 1970's
Graceful Japanese
bride doll represents a young beautiful lady dressed
in rich silk brocaded silver-gold wedding kimono gown
- uchikake with silver waves and blue forget-me-not
flowers motif. Her white silk kimonos dressed one-after-the
other adorned with white silk brocaded obi sash belt
tied on her back and with silk ribbon on the upper
part of her obi. Lady holds traditional wedding golden fan
with long silk rope attached to the fan in her hands. She
also has a silk case with additional long hair pin and tanto
dagger wrapped with white silk fabric. Tanto knife was a
required element for samurai class lady's wedding costume.
Lady's black hair adorned with wedding ceremony white
head scarf, tortoiseshell comb and long hair-pins
engraved with storks flying over flowers.
Highly collectibles doll is in excellent conditions
with no damage.
