Japanese antique Maiko doll sitting with parasol, 1920-30's
Rare Japanese antique doll
of Maiko ( apprentice geisha) represents young woman
in wonderfully hand-painted kinsha silk kimono
with very long sleeves and long silk brocaded obi belt tied
in style of Maiko. She is sitting with silk parasol in her
hands..
The artist has depicted her in the moment when she
started to stand up, so that one of her knee is in
a higher position than the other.
This wonderful doll crafted about 1920's in Kyoto, ensuring
the finest quality and craftsmanship. Lovely face, graceful
pose, perfectly painted silk kimono make this doll a highly
collectible item.

Condition: the doll is in very good condition according
to age.
On the doll's forehead part insidious damaged painting,and
her silk parasol was damaged (parasol can be changed for
new one for additional US$ 30.00 )
