Festival Lion Mask, 1940-50's
Finely modeled very tall
Japanese antique
silk-faced doll from Kyoto represents
dancing young lady dressed in light silk hand-painted kimono
with momiji (autumn leaves) motif and with wooden mask of Shi-Shi
( Lion of Buddha) with silk brocaded cover fabric
in her hands. Sensual pose and very tender face, intricate
hair style adorned with long hair-pins and comb and bira-bira
silver hair-pins. Very antique taste.

Condition: The doll is excellent condition according to
age with no damage
